There are river and canal cruises, museums, tours of Parliament, and the daily ritual changing of the guards on Parliament Hill. Canada's parliament buildings and supreme court are within 4 blocks walk. There is also an art gallery, a museum of civilization, a war museum and a mint museum within easy walk or cab ride.

July is our hottest month, with an average daily high of 27C and an average daily low of 15C. Since it is a continental climate, actual temperatures can vary by 7C or more. 34C with 90% humidity or 20C with 50% humidity are possible, as is rain or sunshine. Dress for a hot climate but bring an extra layer and umbrella.
